Merci beaucoup ! je travaille actuellement pour un magazine d'archéologie sur des scènes gauloises entre autre, que je ne manquerai pas de poster, et qui m'ont permis de creuser encore l'aspect historique.

FINALLY! Someone who understands the Celts were ass-naked barbarians. They invented chain mail before the Romans or the Greeks. I think the reason why was just because of how war-like they were with each other; they probably had an internal arms race that culminated in the invention of the horse shoe. This lead to them being able to push their horses harder, over longer distances, and that lead to expanding their territories. Or it could have been the other way around: they tried to expand, got their asses kicked, and so designed a shirt of linked rings to repel stabbing weapons from being stabby and slashing weapons from connecting with soft flesh. Besides mediating trauma from blunt weapons like burdas, cudgels, mauls and other clubs.

thanks a lot ! 100 % agreed ! I've worked on a comic book adaptation of the Caesar's gallic wars, where we reflect the true celtic aspect that you describe. It's also an great passion for me, so I'm very glad to share that.
